(NACTA) TEACHER RECOGNITION AWARDS
 
 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR NOMINATORS

On behalf of the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA), thank you for taking the time and effort to nominate someone for one or more of the NACTA awards for excellence in post-secondary instruction in agriculture. One of the central purposes of NACTA is to recognize those individuals whose efforts represent the very best in agricultural higher education. Thus, NACTA seeks to inspire all of us to achieve the highest levels of excellence. At the same time, NACTA seeks to encourage these colleagues to share with us their methods of achieving excellence.  The nominator does not have to be from the same institution as the nominee, but the nominator should contact the nominee's Department Chair as a professional courtesy.
Deadline: Nomination materials for all awards (except Distinguished Educator and Teacher Award of Merit) must be postmarked by March 1, 2008.

 
Awards
NACTA Teaching Award of Merit  is decided by the institution (see description)
NACTA Graduate Student Teaching Award   For graduate students only
NACTA Teacher Fellow Award   The first faculty award
NACTA Regional Outstanding Teacher   Faculty must be awarded Teacher Fellow first
NACTA John Deere Award   High level award
NACTA Teaching Award of Excellence   Highest teaching award in this category
NACTA Distinguished Educator Award is the most prestigious; nomination materials must be postmarked on or before October 15, 2007 (see Journal)
