Course Format and Objectives:
 
In general, Wednesday and Friday will be lecture-discussions, while Monday will be laboratory-discussion. There will be no class the week of October 27. Please plan to spend class time reviewing materials and completing assignments provided .
 
Upon completion of this course, students will:

1. understand soil erosion on a process basis;
2. be able to estimate erosion rates from different land uses
3. be able to specify control practices and materials
4. be able to develop erosion and sediment control plans
5. be able to successfully pass the Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) examination

Final Exam (comprehensive) will be a take-home, distributed on Wednesday December 10, due Wednesday December 17 by 5pm in 206 Engineering Hall.
